Mike watched Roland cut them each another slice of the cake. Now that was his idea of heaven. A sexy man who could cook. Not that Mike was useless in the kitchen. It was just that most cooking bored him. He liked to make a meal with minimal effort. Stir-fry cooking suited him perfectly.

“Thank you. I like the way you cut big slices. I’ve never understood why someone makes a sandwich and then cuts it into tiny little finger slices when they’re all going to get eaten anyway. Or cutting pizza into slivers and eating six or eight of them. Why not cut it into man-sized chunks in the first place and save yourself the extra effort?” he asked.

“I get the whole concept of making food look pretty when it’s being served onto a plate for display, but otherwise, I have to agree. I cut my sandwich in half and that’s good enough.”

Mike watched Roland eating. He was as tidy and orderly about how he ate as with everything else he did. Bite, chew, swallow. No waving his hands around, as Mike sometimes caught himself doing. No crumbs dropped all over the table. And as sexy as hell while he did it. A couple of times Roland’s tongue flicked out to catch a crumb or lick up some cinnamon, and Mike felt his dick grow longer and harder just watching Roland being himself. The man wasn’t even trying to arouse him but he was doing it damn effectively nonetheless.

Mike wanted them to go back to bed. This time they could stay there and he’d hold Roland in his arms. That had to be the plan in Roland’s mind as well or he wouldn’t have mentioned needing to feed the cat or suggesting they wear the robes. So, the only question was, how soon would be appropriate? They’d had coffee and cake. They’d talked for a while. He really loved talking with Roland. It wasn’t just killing time, it was fun. Cozy and satisfying like being a real family. He could imagine long nights with them cuddled on the couch together watching movies or sports, talking and eating while they relaxed the evening away together.

But right now, his dick wanted some action. He stood up and held out his hand. “Are you ready to go back to bed?”

Roland’s dark eyes sparkled and gleamed. “Absolutely.”

Roland took his hand and they entwined their fingers. Mike liked the feel of Roland’s hand in his. Roland was just a little bit smaller than him. A little shorter, a little thinner, and his hands were similarly just a fraction more compact. They were slightly softer as well. It was clear he wasn’t a manual worker, but they weren’t pampered hands. The nails were clipped short, but not manicured. There were no calluses but his grip wasn’t limp either. They were clearly the hands of a moderately fit adult male. Mike really liked that. He and Roland were equal partners in this relationship and that was the best basis he could ever imagine for their relationship to work and to last.
